Guys this is a bit misleading. Don’t you think kids will go out now and buy microscopes thinking that stuff will look like that then get super disappointed and never bother with it again? I mean there is a huge difference between the images from an ELECTRON MICROSCOPE and a regular compound microscope. Like HUGE difference. All the images here are from electron microscopes which cost over $100k dollars. Sorry everyone. You won’t get the same images BUT you will get super cool ones just not as up close or with such nice colors. Those nice colors are actually painted on because an electron microscope bombards the object with tiny atoms and then picks up the bounces and reads the images like a dolphin with echo location. Except this is a microscope and it’s visual not auditory. The images come back in black and white, not color. Ok well that’s my science rant/lesson for today.

They need to reboot this series, even if it isn't with both Matt and Annie.

Coming back to those and man, there was a real effort put into these videos... No wonder you stopped, people making tenth the quality with hundredth of effort get more views that you guys did.... miss you guys. i was purging my old subscriptions and stumbled on your channel. Man its been long time since wev heard from you. i know 5facts arent prolly coming back, but i was wondering how are you guys doing? are you ok? How is your life going? anyway, i dont think anyone will ever answer and this post is equivalent of sending a video tape into outer space, but i guess it at least gives me a litlle bit of comfort knowing that you are there somewhere, doing your stuff. good luck and hopefully till next time!
